Day Camps 2015

Cub Scout Day Camp provides four days of fun and advancement at local parks or camps. Running from mid-morning to early afternoon, these camps specialize in providing a fun atmosphere for your Scout. Three separate camps are run throughout Cedar Rapids, Central City, and Iowa City. Any Tiger, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos I or II can attend day camp.
  • When/Where:
    • June 8-11 in Iowa City (Johnson County Fairgrounds)
    • June 15-18 in Central City (Camp Waubeek)
    • June 23-26 in Cedar Rapids (Hawkeye Downs)
  • Who: Pack 40 cub scouts, guests and adult partners
    • NEW THIS YEAR: scouts can bring a non-scout guest to day camp! The guest needs to pay the full camp fee, and be registered for camp with Pack 40. The guest must be eligible to join Cub Scouts, and will be covered by BSA insurance.
  • Fees:
    • Scouts: $32.50 per scout, due by noon May 20; add $10 late fee after May 20
      • You will see the scout fee on the registration form is $65 per scout; Pack 40 is paying half of the camp fee, so you only pay $32.50.
    • Guests: $65 per boy, due by noon May 20; add $10 late fee after May 20
    • Adult partners: FREE

  • Registration Deadlines:
    • noon, May 20
    • Late registrations can be turned in to the Council Office at least 10 days before camp begins.
  • Youth Protection Requirements:
    • Pack 40 is required to supply enough adults to accompany our scouts while at Day Camp.
    • Each Pack is to provide one adult to every five boys attending Day Camp with no less than two adults at all times during camp. Need not be the same people each day, but must be registered with the camp, and provide current BS Health Forms A & B.
    • Pack adults need to fill in the days online that they intend to be at camp.
    • Every Tiger Cub must have a parent or guardian to be with them at all times.

Who's Going to Camp?

Camp Registration Instructions

  1. SIGN UP: Complete the registration form for each scout and adult who will be attending camp. Click the button above to start.
  2. HEALTH FORM: Download, complete and print a BSA Health & Medical Form - Parts A & B for each person attending camp - both scouts and adults. A copy of the participant's health insurance card - both sides - is required with the health form.
  3. YOUTH PROTECTION (adults only): If you have not already, please go to and complete the free Cub Scout Youth Protection training. It is a video with questions and answers throughout; it should take less than 30 minutes to complete. First time users to will need to create an account. If you are not a registered leader with Pack 40, be sure to print a copy of your completion certificate at the end of the training and include a copy with your registration materials.   4. FEES: Camp fees are will be calculated in the roster spreadsheet above. Please turn in a check for your camp fees to our treasurer, Beth Johnson. If you have any questions, or would like to use popcorn money, please contact Beth at
  5. TURN IN: Collect ALL forms (health forms with copies of insurance cards, youth protection certificate) and turn in to Lori Jiacinto by NOON on the given deadline date.
